But have you considered a silk scarf?

THE QUESTION AT HAND is one that assumes you've grown tired of your usual wardrobe tricks and are looking to spice up your lewks with a little pa-zazz. It also assumes you're not afraid to try something you've only seen grandma wear.

I had not ventured into silk scarf territory until 2 were gifted to me this year. Very luxurious and thoughtful gifts if you're in the market! Each was selected by someone close to me who recognized a bit of my personality reflected in the design.

Mine bring me an enormous amount of joy everyday--I keep both in places that I see every day, and both offer numerous ways to adorn you:

  • Tied onto your purse strap

  • In your pony tail

  • Around your neck

  • Framed

THE PINK IMMACULATE BUNNY SCARF

My best friend gave my this for my birthday and it is truly the item I did not know I needed it until it was in my possession. It is by a wildly creative and eccentric designer, Sabine Savage. Each print come in a variety of sizes, fabrics, and price points. You can even get ribbons, clothes, cushions, and cards in her prints!

For the bunny, Savage says:

The mother hare calmly and quietly sits. She watches over her son as he takes in the new world before him. Swallows flurry and flutter around them, bringing gifts of gold bells and cut flowers for the infant. The stoat and capuchin monkey quietly await their turn to meet the sacred new arrival they have heard so much about.

The illustration's details are incredible. Bells, flowers, butterflies, swallows, and intricate borders frame the scene. I cannot wait to wear it more! It is a smaller size, so it's perfect for in my hair, around my purse handle, or even framed which I'm hoping to have done soon so it can be on display in my house!

On the egg purse, which i will cherish forever! The combo is almost too much to take in! 🤩

Why not some magnolias, which fit the mood!?

THE YELLOW CAT SCARF

This scarf was gifted to me for Christmas and is from a London-based brand, Emilia Mala, born out of the designer's love for illustration. It features a delighfully chubby finch and a growling black kitty! The color is called sun. How lovely!

Worn here with Sleeper pajamas, the silk scarf jazzes up an already jazzy around-the-house outfit.

In action in my hair to ring in the new year!

At this point, I'm in the mood for yellow so thought I'd toss in the daffs from our yard earlier this year.

Yellow is my color for 2021! I'm hoping to own more of it as it really lifts my mood!
